Roy E. Bailie O.B.E
Chairman, The Baird Group

Roy, a graduate of Harvard Business School, is a well respected and experienced businessman who remains passionately involved in the activities of the Group and the wider business community.

Starting his print career as a hot-metal compositor, he soon developed leadership potential. In 1977 he led the management buy-out of W&G Baird Ltd from the British Printing Corporation. After forming W&G Baird (Holdings)Ltd, now known as The Baird Group, Roy embarked on the acquisition trail, purchasing MSO Ltd in 1984, Biddles Ltd in 1989, Thanet Press Ltd and Blackstaff Press Ltd in 1995, Corporate Document Services Ltd in 2000 and Newspress Ltd in 2006. On the way a number of smaller acquisitions were also made and absorbed into existing Group companies. Roy is Chairman and majority shareholder of The Baird Group.

Ken Lindsay
Chief Executive, The Baird Group

Ken pursued a successful accountancy career in Belfast and Australia with Price Waterhouse Coopers before joining the Baird Group in 1976.Working closely with Roy,Ken has been instrumental in building The Baird Group step by step,firstly as Financial Director and since 1997 as Chief Executive.

Sir Gerry Loughran KCB
Non-executive director, The Baird Group

As Chairman of Phoenix Energy Holdings, Sir Gerry Loughran brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the public and private sectors. A graduate in Politics and Economics, he has served as Permanent Secretary of the Industry Department (Department of Economic Development) in Northern Ireland and subsequently was appointed Head of Northern Ireland Civil Service and Secretary to the Northern Ireland Executive. In this role he led 29,000 members of the Northern Ireland Civil Service until his retirement from the Service in 2002. Since then he has held a number of appointments in the private sector. He is currently Chairman of Blackstaff Press, Director of Allied Irish Banks (UK) PLC and the Baird Group, and serves on several Boards in education and training sector.

Stephen Kingon
Non-executive director, The Baird Group

Stephen is the Chairman of Invest Northern Ireland and also Chair of the Centre of Competitiveness in Northern Ireland. He is a member of the Economic Development Forum which advises Ministers on issues relating to the development and future competitiveness of the Northern Ireland economy. He co-chairs the North/South Roundtable Group, which seeks to improve both competitiveness of the Island economy. Currently he is Chairman of both Balcas Limited and SOS Bus NI Limited. In addition he is a non-executive director of Allied Irish Banks plc, AIB Group (UK) plc, Mivan Limited, Mivan (UK) Limited, the Baird Group Limited and Anderson Spratt Group (Holdings) Limited.

Stephen was formerly Managing Partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Northern Ireland and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and of the Institute of Business and Management Consultants. He is a past-President of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and past-Chairman of Business in the Community in Northern Ireland; the Ulster Society of Chartered Accountants; and the Institute of Management Consulting in Northern Ireland.
