Blackstaff Press LtdBlackstaff Press is Northern Ireland's leading book publisher and became a member of the Group in 1995. Originally founded in 1971, the company has published around 700 titles covering a wide range of subjects including history, politics, fiction, poetry, humour, health and education. Blackstaff books have won numerous awards over the years and in 1992 the company was named UK Small Publisher of the Year by the Sunday Times. A Blackstaff novel, The Dancers Dancing by Elis Ni Dhuibhne, was nominated for the prestigious Orange Fiction Prize 2000. The company also offers publishing services to outside bodies and in recent years has been commissioned to publish books for, among others, BBC NI, Belfast City Council, the Royal Victoria Hospital, Queen's University Belfast and the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland.
